In remote, seminomadic communities in Pakistan, the school year used to come to a halt during the seasonal migrations. Children missed out on up to seven months of education, often leading to high drop out rates and limited opportunities.

To prevent this, our partners in Pakistan created the Mobile Tent School which operates during the summer months in the high pastures so that children can continue their education even while migrating with their families.

One father said: “I am a community leader and father of three children. Each year, my family and I undertake a challenging journey into the high pastures in search of food and survival. Our livelihood is primarily based on livestock, and we reside in some of the most rugged areas where flat land is scarce. Our seasonal migration unfortunately disrupts our children’s education, causing them to miss school for extended periods. I am grateful for your support which ensures that our children continue their education and do not fall behind. Your dedication to their education not only helps prevent dropouts but also provides them with opportunities for a brighter future. Thank you sincerely for your compassion and commitment to nurturing and supporting our children. Your assistance means the world to us and is deeply appreciated.”
