Our partner organization’s Women’s Empowerment Project (WEP), in Pakistan aims to see women in rural villages empowered, supporting their families.
Hawa, a WEP Vocational Training Center Teacher in a rural village, shares: “I am so thankful to your organization for giving me the opportunity to work here as a teacher. It has been such a rewarding experience to teach these 25 women. I never imagined that my training would make such a difference in my community.
“Today, these women are standing on their own two feet. They are not just learning new skills; they are gaining respect and recognition for their hard work. I also feel blessed because this job has allowed me to help my family financially. With my salary, I am able to buy groceries and support my family. I have even been able to save money for my upcoming wedding.
“Today is a very special day for me. The women who started with me are now ready to graduate, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. They call me ‘teacher’ now, and I will always cherish that honor. I will pray for all of you who made this possible, and for those who helped us start this center. This program has been life changing for all of us, and I am filled with gratitude and thankfulness.”

“I never have missed a single day and I have my best time here in this center.”

In the fall of 2022, catastrophic flooding swept across Pakistan. In the chaos, a landslide tore through the remote mountain village of Kunis taking homes and cropland with it.

Our partner organization’s Women’s Empowerment Project (WEP), is working to empower women through a skillset that will help raise their family earning potential, raise their social status and equip them with skills that will benefit themselves,

On registration day, over 80 women filled the small yard around the building where training would happen!

Now I am trained enough to do different types of stitching and I have already started earning.
