Our partner organization's Women’s Empowerment Project (WEP), is working to empower women through a skillset that will help raise their family earning potential, raise their social status and equip them with skills that will benefit themselves, their families and their communities. Our partners believe that by partnering with communities to provide vocational training courses to women, sustainable change is being fostered in northern Pakistan.
Our partner organization is working with women living in remote, rural communities in the mountainous regions of northern Pakistan. These women are at high risk for domestic violence, child marriage and honor killings. In the male dominated society of northern Pakistan, you might hear women refer to themselves as isolated, burdensome, rejected.
