The Leadership Development Programme was created by our partner organization to provide educational assistance to the marginalized students in northern Pakistan who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend school. The scholarship covers basic needs for the school year including tuition, uniforms, books and school supplies. These scholarships equip students with the foundational training and confidence needed to break the cycle of poverty for their families and for future generations.
Waseem, father of Uvail, a Scholarship Program student said: “I am Uvail’s Father. I am not an educated man and this is the main reason I don’t have a respectable job in society. I have two children but in this era of inflation, after spending all my income to meet bills and house rent, I don’t have money left to send my children to school for a quality education.
Many thanks to the Scholarship Program which makes it possible for my son to attend the English Medium school. Every day after he comes from school, my son talks about his teachers and how they are teaching him new things and are kind to him. I become glad when I see my child coloring the pictures and speaking the sounds of the English alphabet.
Once again, thank you for providing a scholarship to my kid. I think that if I had this opportunity, my situation would be different. I am doing cleaning work but I don’t want my kids to do the same job in the future. I want them to prosper.”
